Prithviraj Das Gupta is an Indian filmmaker, two times Indian Panorama Film Director. A graduate from Delhi University, he was instrumental in setting up the film making society, 'First Cut' in the campus. He started making documentaries when he associated with India Tribal Care operating in Northeast India. 
“GREEN BLACKBERRIES" is his first mid length feature film as a director and writer. The film has been named in the list of the best children’s films of 2020 by Kidz Cinema, helmed by UNESCO and was showcased at  51st International Film Festival of India in Indian Panorama Section. The film is now streaming on Apple Tv+ worldwide.

In the year 2021, Spinning World Productions was founded by him in the mountain town of Kalimpong. Spinning World team consists of a young team from Kalimpong and some experienced craftsmen from Mumbai.
Under the banner of Spinning World, Prithvi has made 6 short films, 2 feature films and directed several digital films and branded content for clients like Star Sports, Sterling Holidays, ICICI Bank, Ceat Tyres, Tata Motors, TVS, 99 Pancakes etc. He has also produced Promotional films & trailers for OTTs like Docubay, Zee-5, Epic On, Amazon Mini, Jio Studios, Hotstar.

Spinning World's second Production 'Clinton' has premiered in 20 film festivals across the World. The film also got him a special patronage from UNICA KOREA and it was acquired by Amazon Prime Video and released in 2024. Spinning World's two other short film ventures, 'Jasmine' and 'Love in Kalimpong', have been released on Hotstar and Zee Music respectively. In the year 2022, Spinning World has partnered with BlackEye Entertainment and Lucky Penny Films to produce a feature film, 'Papa ki Picture', to be released on a mainstream OTT in 2025.
