Spinning World Productions is a spirited film studio started in 2021 by filmmaker Prithviraj Das Gupta, based between Mumbai and the hills of Kalimpong. We’re a mix of fresh local talent and seasoned pros from Mumbai, telling stories through trailers, films, music videos, and branded content.
We love making trailers and promos that pop! Our work has helped launch movies and shows on platforms like Amazon Prime, Amazon Mini, Hotstar, Docubay, and Jio Studios and we even won a Promax Asia Award in 2022 for it!
From Warner Music to Star Sports, Tata Motors, TVS, and Sterling Holidays, we’ve teamed up with amazing brands to make their stories shine on screen.
We also make our own films from short and sweet to full-length features. Our films like Clinton (Amazon Prime Video), Green Blackberries (Apple TV+), Love in Kalimpong (Zee Music) and Jasmine (Hotstar) show our love for storytelling that’s bold, heartfelt, and rooted in the world around us.

PRITHVIRAJ DAS GUPTA
Hi, I’m Prithviraj Das Gupta, an Indian filmmaker and I love telling honest, simple stories. I write them, direct them, edit them, and sometimes even end up producing them too (because someone’s gotta do it!)
My journey began at Delhi University, where I co-founded the film society First Cut. This sparked my passion for filmmaking, leading me to create documentaries with India Tribal Care in Northeast India.
My debut feature, Green Blackberries, is a heartfelt tale about children's struggles for education in the Northeast. It was honored at the 51st International Film Festival of India and was hailed by UNESCO as the best children film in 2021. The film is now streaming on Apple TV+. Since then, I’ve directed films like Clinton (Amazon Prime Video), Love in Kalimpong (Zee Music), and Jasmine (Hotstar).
Beyond fiction films, I have ventured into music videos, bringing fresh narratives to the music scene in a collaboration with Warner Music India. At the heart of it all, I remain a storyteller,
driven by the desire to portray life's nuances and emotions.
